This idyllic, charming country cottage, dating back to the 18th Century, retains many of its original features including white washed stone walls, red pan-tiled roof and crow-steps, a time honoured design of Crail and other East Fife Coastal Villages. Crail cottage sits on its own land with a large lawn and garden facing south towards uninterrupted views of the sea over fields of grazing cattle and cornfields. A large patio with outdoor furniture overlooks the garden.

A history of a family of Crail shoemakers working from the cottage is described on the hand-painted tiles in the kitchen. Step inside the cottage and you will find a warm and welcoming atmosphere achieved by the lovingly restored features of stone exposed walls, original wooden doors and hooks hanging from the ceiling where once hams were smoked. A living coal fire, comfortable furnishings, carpeting and traditional decorating with original paintings of local scenes by the present owner together with personal touches throughout add to the ambience of the home.
